Exhibitors, visitors expected to more than double
There’s all proof to believe that the 11th annual Rwanda International Trade Fair (RITF), 2008 which will be held on August 28th to September 8th 2008 at the Gikondo Expo grounds will record an over 100% increase in the number of exhibitors; both local and international. The Expo, which is organized by the Private Sector Federation (PSF) and the Ministry of Trade and Industry (Minicom), has so far attracted the interest of over
600 local and foreign exhibitors 150 of whom have reserved stands.
Registration is ongoing, both physically at the permanent expo secretariat at Gikondo, and online on the expo Rwanda website (www.exporwanda.com). The number of exhibitors are also expected to
more than double this year due to the aggressive media campaign that is about to start in a few weeks to come.
In 2007, the RITF attracted a total 323 exhibitors, 227 local companies and 96
international companies from nine countries including Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania,
Burundi, Ghana, Egypt, Ethiopia, Rwanda and India. Participants in the fair
were able to promote their products / services, establish new contacts interact
and network. There were 12,000 recorded visitors daily from the entire region.
